David Price Honors EOS Remediation

EOS Remediation, LLC Honored by U.S. Congressman David Price for Efforts to Expand Exports

U.S. Congressman David Price honored EOS Remediation for its success in the global marketplace on Friday, March 25, 2011, at the headquarters of its parent company, Solutions-IES in Raleigh, North Carolina.  Representative Price presented company president, Ann Borden, with the U.S. Department of Commerce Export Achievement Certificate, recognizing EOS Remediation’s success in exporting sustainable soil and

groundwater remediation technologies to overseas markets. This event was part of the Obama administration’s efforts to highlight its goal of doubling U.S. exports within five years.  The award ceremony coincided with a visit from Chemical Grouting Co. Ltd, Solutions-IES’ research and development partner in Japan.

Solutions-IES is an award-winning, woman-owned environmental consulting, engineering and remediation firm and is a leading developer of innovative technologies for natural and sustainable bioremediation of soil and groundwater.  EOS Remediation commercializes products developed by Solutions-IES to naturally clean-up environmental contamination.  The proven EOS® technology is used at over 200 sites annually and substantially reduces the cost to restore contaminated properties throughout the world.

Ms. Borden stated, “We are honored to receive this award from Representative Price and the US Department of Commerce.  Our experience, scientific knowledge and technical excellence enable us to deliver solutions that enhance and sustain our natural environment and quality of life.  We feel fortunate to be able to share our innovations globally.”  Ms. Borden continued with an appreciation for the opportunities provided by the US Department of Commerce, the North Carolina Department of Commerce, the United Soybean Board, the Small Business Administration and the North Carolina Military Business Center.  “These organizations are vital for small businesses to reach global audiences,” she said.  “In light of the recent tragedies, we are grateful that our friends and partners in Japan are safe.  Our prayers are with the people in Japan.”

In addition to developing sustainable technologies, Solutions-IES provides a wide range of services focused on environmental compliance, site assessment, soil remediation, and groundwater remediation.  Ms. Borden hopes to be the first North Carolina company awarded a contract under a new federal program that allows for set asides for selected small woman-owned business.
